THE EUROPEAN UNION AT THE UNITED NATIONS. Design for invitations to the European Union's annual Europe Day celebrations in New York City.
For Europe Day 2009, the Empire State Building was lit up in the colors of the EU flag; the invitation to the party (below left) featured an image of that iconic building.
In 2007 the party was held at the J.P. Morgan Library; the invitation (below right) appropriated an image from the Morgan's extensive collection of illuminated manuscripts.
